About Our Competitions
Black Noor Arts hosts juried competitions that celebrate the breadth of artistic talent in our region in southeast Michigan. Each competition cycle opens with a call for submissions, followed by a juried review by working artists and art professionals. Finalists are exhibited publicly and winners are recognized at a community awards ceremony.
Each competition will have different artistic themes, eligibility requirements, and submission guidelines.

Want to Enter Our Competition?
Step 1. Submit your art for consideration
A form will be available on our website on our competitions page for you to complete and submit a draft/ sample image of your art piece for your consideration in the competition.
Competition themes and eligibility criteria will be available on our website prior to the competition period opening.
Step 2. Finalists announced
Finalists will be notified via email and invited to participate in a public exhibition where the competition winner will be announced.
Finalists must confirm wanting to participate in the competition and show their art on exhibition day in order to qualify.
Step 3. Exhibition Day
Finalists will arrive with their approved art ahead of the exhibition opening time to install their work in the chosen public space.
Winners will be announced and receive a prize at the end!
